Recently I had the opportunity to cruise around the Bay Area in the 2016 Nissan Sentra SV.  I wasn't sure what to expect since I'm used to driving a bigger vehicle on a daily basis, but I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised how much I truly enjoyed my experience.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra SV was packed full of technology that I fell in love with. It features Nissan Connect with Mobile Apps and a 5 inch display screen.  With the Bluetooth feature I was able to stream my favorite tunes from my phone, as well as make and receive calls and everything was displayed on the screen.  I found the back up camera extremely helpful while trying to back into the tiny parking spaces that we have here in the Bay Area.  There is an XM option to listen to and if you are the cd playing type, there is a cd player as well.

The front seat has 2 cup holders wide enough to hold my small mason jars and there is one usb port in the center console along with a cigarette lighter. If you have teenagers like me, then you should make sure to have a car charger on hand since the one USB port limits multiple devices charging at the same time.

With modern technology at my fingertips, I felt like a pilot in the cockpit.  The cruise control feature was very useful when I was driving on the highway from Oakland to Monterey.  Having all of these controls on the steering wheel allows me to keep my eyes on the road and still make adjustments to my music and receive a phone call if necessary.  The Nissan Sentra SV averages 38 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg in the city, which is awesome in my book! With a 1.8 liter , 4 cylinder engine under the hood this makes great commuter vehicle.

The backseat is roomy and has plenty of space for two teenagers with heavy backpacks. As you can see the pull down armrest has two cup holders which came in handy on that road trip to Monterey.  When not in use, just push the armrest up and you can squeeze a third passenger into the mix.

No week is complete at my house without a trip to the local grocery warehouse. The trunk had more than enough space to hold food for a family of 7 for an entire week.  After the groceries were emptied, it was time to fill it with rugby and basketball gear and shuttle the kids to their after school activities.

Starting at $18,500, the Nissan Sentra SV is affordable and impressive.  Overall I think is a great car to dash around town and run errands with. It is certainly a great car for college students who are looking for technology, fuel efficiency and an all around great compact vehicle.
