This past week my family was blessed with the opportunity to review a family friendly movie called Pirates Code: The Adventures of Mickey Matson. We may not all like family dramas or romance movies, but we can all agree to watch a good action movie together. This movie was full of adventure and action.
Mickey Matson and his friend Sully teamed up with a group of elite boys and girls to defeat the evil plans of Admiral Ironsides and his band of pirates. Admiral Ironsides is trying to detonate a weapon of mass destruction called the Telsa Coil, that has the capabilities of wiping out any and every electronic device on earth. If the kids can't stop them, then life as they know it will cease to exist. There was lots of action, and some mild violence as Mickey and his friends fought their way through many obastacles. I really appreciate the fact that this film was very intense and it captivated our attention without using profanity and the violence was minimal. As a mother of 6 children, good quality family movies are important to our family. In the case of Pirates Code, we didn't have to sacrafice quality for PG-13 or PG ratings.
